We know excess alcohol intake is associated with serious risks including liver disease, heart disease, cancer, addiction, and mental health issues. Current research increasingly shows that no amount of alcohol is completely risk-free, making informed and mindful choices essential for long-term health, are important. This class will allow you to say “Cheers” to improving your understanding of the impact alcohol has on your mind and body, clarify a standard serving, and review the recommendations for intake for both men and women.

Although these self-care practices have been developed to decrease risk for individuals with blood sugar control issues, attention to these skills can help anyone with chronic disease who want to move from “chronic disease management” to “working wellness!”
